BOOK REVIEW: NEVERMORE by Kelly Creagh

I just finished reading this book, maybe only a minute has passed since I read the last words of this extraordinary story. I loved it, 5/5 without a doubt! I enjoyed every bit of this unique story. I think the plot was very original, I’ve never read anything like this before: mixing reality with literature is pure genius and the story is written in a way that got me captivated from page one. The characters were very well structured and defined to a point where I found myself so entirely involved: I worried for Varen but was also annoyed by him at times, I cheered for Isobel and feared for her when things got tough, I smiled, I got angry, I thought about Nevermore throughout the day! And this only happens when I LOVE a book. My congratulations to the author, Kelly Creagh: you are a GREAT writer. After reading Anna & The French Kiss, Nevermore was a breath of fresh air, total amusement, satisfaction. The writing was simply DIVINE and that is what I appreciated the most. Saturday haul #22

Ok so....just when I thought of starting saving for my summer trip to NYC I went and spent a ton of money at Sephora O_O help!!! I actually just wanted to get the new Dior Iconic lipstick, something similar to the one Kate Moss wears in the campaign add (which I think I found!), but once in front of the Dior stand my mind started spinning and I got another lipstick and lipgloss:

Bè non ho fatto in tempo a dire che dovevo iniziare a risparmiare per NYC che sono andata a Sephora a spendere una fortuna O_O aiuto!!! In realtà l'unica cosa che mi volevo comprare era un rossetto della nuova linea Dior Iconic, magari proprio il colore che indossa Kate Moss nella pubblicità. Poi vabbè una volta di fronte allo stand Dior mi sono impazzita ed ho preso un altro rossetto ed un lipgloss:

Review: Anna And The French Kiss

hi guys! I finally finished this book and let me say immediately that I did NOT like!!! I have no idea where all the hype came from, I struggled reading it, I was not involved at all by the story and at some point I was tempted to give up but forced myself to finish in order to write a review. Honestly I thought the plot had potential (which is why I rated it 2/5 and not 1/5!), it sounded pretty good when I bought it and all the huge hype around it definitely pushed me to pick it up… But what ruined the book, in my opinion, was the way it was written: too shallow, too superficial, there was no depth, no introspection,…NADA!!! I know it’s a YA book, but this doesn’t mean that the narration must be almost childish. Because that’s how I felt it was: plain. Every time I took the book in my hands I had to go back a few pages to remember where I had stopped because I couldn’t recall the story. When I like a book I find myself thinking of the story through out the day, but this time all I could think about was how badly I needed to finish it! After 300+ pages one would think there’d be some kind of ‘affection’ to the characters, but it wasn’t like that for me, I just couldn't care less. I’m really sorry for giving a bad review, I really wanted to like this book, but I have to contradict the hype and say that this book is not worth reading (for me!) since it left me with nothing at the end of it. Saturday haul #21

so...FINALLY after days of bed rest and going out only to work I managed to go shopping and have a little fun *happy face* I bought some stuff but didn't go crazy, maybe cos I'm starting to save up for NYC *another happy face* SO I got some clothes (t-shirts and track pants for my lazy days) and a little bit of beauty stuff. Did you girls get anything cool this weekend?

hi guys! As promised here is my new book haul :) feeling excited! All the books are presents that my cousins from London brought me when they came to visit....I literally screamed "it's christmas!" when I saw them with all the books I had asked!!!!!

BOOK REVIEW: CLOCKWORK ANGEL

hi guys! Sorry for posting this review soooo late but I haven't been well for the past week or so. Anyway despite the loooong hours forced in bed I had the pleasure of having the company of this great book. Clockwork Angel is my first book by Cassandra Clare and when I finished it I told myself: OMG WHAT HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT?!?!?! why didn't I start reading her books earlier?!?!?! Well better late than never ;) I loved this book guys. The writing flows easy without being shallow, the plot is amazing, the characters are well defined, there is nothing bad I can honestly say about this book....! When I finished reading it I was both sad and happy: sad cos I knew I was going to miss the characters (Will you are the best!), happy cos it was a great reading and I can't wait to read the sequels. Now I am thrilled to start the Immortal Instruments Series, the first three books are happily waiting to be picked from my bookshelf :))) Although, I thought it wouldn't be wise to jump to City Of Bones just yet, so I thought I'd read other books in between Cassandra Clare's series...so to rise the suspance! That said, I am currently reading Anna & The French Kiss and I have to say...so far the story isn't getting me, I'm not feeling it. I'm on chapter 4 and hope the plot gets better asap or I'll put it aside and start something else.
