Saturday haul: Illamasqua, H&M and Athlete's World

So after weeks of no shopping last week I FINALLY got a chance to hit the shops! Plus I’ve been doing some online shopping too and last Friday one of the parcels came in soooooo….here’s a collective haul of my recent purchases----yay!!!

I’ve been wanting to place an order on the Illamasqua website for a while, especially when they have the international free delivery promo going on. The last time the promotion was on (2-3 weeks ago) I was actually about to buy some stuff but one of the items I wanted was out of stock so I decided to wait. Last week the international free delivery was back so, after checking that everything I wanted was available, I placed my order immediately. Let me say that Illamasqua has a pretty good shipping service: placed my order on the weekend, parcel arrived on Friday,…and everything was so beautifully packed, black box, black paper, perfume sample, booklets, GREAT! Here’s what I got:

Last Saturday I also went shopping and got an oversize white shirt at H&M, a cute sweater (couldn’t resist the pink hippo!!!) at a local sports store called Athlete's World and a black scarf w/grey skulls (maybe one day I’ll get the legendary Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf but for now this one will do!!!).

Finalmente la settimana scorsa ho fatto un po’ di shopping!!! Sono andata in giro per negozi sabato ed è stato davvero bello perché la città è già addobbata per il Natale---che emozione!!! Sono andata ad H&M nella speranza di vedere qualcosa della collezione Versace for H&M ma….niente!!!! Comunque non sono uscita a mani vuote (ovvio!) perchè ho preso una camicia bianca ‘oversize’. Poi sono andata ad Athelete’s World e non ho resistito alla tentazione di comprare una felpa verde scura con un ippopotamo rosa---non è troppo carina???!!! Ed infine ho comprato una sciarpa nera con teschi grigi---nulla a che vedere con la mitica Skull Scarf di Alexander McQueen ma per adesso può andare J Ultimamente sto facendo anche un bel po’ di shopping online e venerdì scorso è arrivato il mio pacco Illamasqua: ho approfittato della promozione Free International Delivery per comprare delle cose che volevo da diverso tempo e mi piace tutto quello che ho scelto!!!   

LOOK OF THE DAY

You already know how much I like to experiment with my makeup on the weekends. Sometimes I come out with pretty looks, other times I go over board and my makeup is a disaster!!! Well apparently yesterday I did a good job on my eye makeup cos I received a ton of compliments...*happy face*! My mom said I looked nice (I know, family doesn't count!) and, when I went out shopping, almost all of the SA said something about my eye makeup. Truth is I was inspired by the Pixiwoo's latest tutorial and, since I don't have the products used in that video, I decided to use something very similar (if not better): Chanel's Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow in Epatant. I will never stop raving about these eyeshadows. Deal with it! Anyway in the Pixiwoo's tutorial Samantha applied an eyeshadow with a beautiful duo chrome, silver to red. So I used Benefit's cream e/s in Stiletto on the lid and on the crease; then I applied Chanel's Epatant on the lid...and that's basically of I got the silver-red combo. For eyeliner I used Chanel cake Noir Liner, Lancome's Hypnose mascara and Dior's Sable pencil for the brows. On my faced I opted for Illamasqua's Rich Liquid Foundation, contoured with NARS Laguna and highlighted with Dior's Amber Diamond. YSL rouge voluptè #2 on the lips and...done! 

Sapete già quanto mi piace sperimentare col trucco nei fine settimana. A volte ho successo, altre volte è un disastro! Beh a quanto pare ieri ho fatto un buon lavoro perchè ho ricevuto un sacco di complimenti ...*faccia felice*! La verità è che mi sono ispirata all'ultimo tutorial delle Pixiwoo e, dato che non ho i prodotti utilizzati in quel video, ho deciso di usare qualcosa di molto simile (se non migliore): il mio tanto amato Epatant di Chanel. Nel video Samantha ha usato un bellissimo ombretto duocromo, argento-rosso. Così ho usato come base l'ombretto in crema Stiletto della Benefit sulla palpebra e piega dell'occhio, poi ho applicato Epatant solo sulla palpebra ... e questo è come ho creato la combinazione argento-rosso. Come eyeliner ho usato Chanel Liner Noir, mascara Hypnose di Lancome e matita Sable Dior per le sopracciglia. Sul mio viso ho optato per il Rich Liquid Foundation di Illamasqua, il bronzer NARS Laguna per il contouring e Dior Amber Diamond come illuminante. YSL rouge volupté #2 sulle labbra e ... fatto! 

NYC SUPER HAUL: SEPHORA

Hey dolls!!! When I uploaded this pic on my FB I named it PARADISE, and trust me it was. This one in the photo is the Sephora on 5th Avenue and when you pass by you cannot NOT stop a second and look at it. And if you're a makeup junkie like moi, after looking and snapping a pic, you go inside and shop!!! I splurged in this Sephora and the 2 ones in Times Square and...geez it was intense!!! The $$$ rose by the second and I think that's why the sales staff insisted I signed up for their Beauty Insider card. Actually good thing I did cos I ended up getting a ton of free stuff: MUFE eye pencils, Sephora's mascaras, DKNY Pure perfume... happy!!!

Ciao bambole!!! Quando ho caricato questa foto sulla mia pagina FB l'ho intitolata PARADISO, e fidatevi lo era. Questa nella foto è la Sephora lungo la 5th Avenue e la facciata è così carattiristica che non ti puoi non fermare a guardarla. Poi, ovvio, se siete una makeup addict come me, dopo averla osservata, entrate e fate shooping!!! Ho fatto shopping in questa Sephora e nelle 2 a Times Square ed ho fatto enormi danni!!! I $$$ sono saliti vertiginosamente e forse è per questo che lo staff ha tanto insistito che io mi facessi la loro Beauty Insider Card (la nostra Carta Fedeltà Sephora lì non può essere usata). A posteriori è stato un bene che l'ho fatta perchè ho ricevuto un sacco di cosette gratis: matite MUFE, mascara Sephora, il profumo Pure di DKNY,....mica male!!!

The first counter I had to check out immediately was Urban Decay: I DESPERATELY wanted the Naked palette and... ta ta taaaa... I found it!!!! It was the last one (waiting for me!!!) and when I saw it I grabed it like it was gold....like a crazy woman!!! I also got the primer potions in Sin and Greed and I hope the tube form works better than the bottle...

La prima marca cui mi sono diretta è stata Urban Decay: ero alla DISPERATA ricerca della Naked palette e per fortuna l'ho trovata!!!! Era l'ultima (era lì sola sola che mi aspettava!) e appena l'ho vista l'ho presa come una pazza! Ho anche comprato i primer potion in Sin e Greed e spero vivamente che il formato in tubetto si riveli migliore della bottiglia...

Illamasqua... oh Illamasqua Illamasqua. This counter was a dissapointment. I have only one blush by this brand (Excite) and it is by far one of my favorites. So I decided to try out the cream blushes and got Libido..... scary I now!!! But LittleKiva swares by it so I took it. Then, being the foundation-obsessed that I am I picked their Rich Liquid Foundation, which is suppose to give flawless coverage. The rest was total caos. Caos because I feel that the Illamasqua counters haven't been sorted out in a looooooooong time!!! The boxes were all half broken or thorn, and there was no matching between the testers in front and the actual products behind!!!! So irritating. And unfortunately I got a taste of it when choosing the lipglosses:

Mi rincresce dirlo, ma lo stand Illamasqua mi ha deluso tantissimo. Mi è dispiaciuto perchè l'Illamasqua era una delle marche di cui ero più entusiasta, credevo che avrei comprato molto di più ma....non ci sono riuscita!!! Quando mi sono recata allo stand mi sono trovata davanti al caos totale: le scatoline erano aperte o consumate, e non c'era corrispondenza tra i tester ed i prodotti...un nervoso!!! Ho comprato il blush in crema nel colore Libido ed il fondotinta Rich Liquid Foundation, e fin quì tutto regolare. Ma pultroppo per i gloss mi sono ritrovata con tutt'altro di quello che volevo!!!

I would NEVER buy a clear lipgloss and a baby pink lipgloss. Never. But this is what I found when I got home and opened the packages. If I lived in the States I would obviously return them, but now I'm stuck with two 'useless' products. See what I mean when I said CAOS?!!!

Io non comprerei MAI un gloss trasparente ed uno baby rosa. Mai. Eppure questi sono i colori con cui mi sono ritrovata una volta rientrata a casa. Pultroppo non li posso restituire e mi urta pensare d'aver sprecato soldi. Vabbè, mi inventerò qualcosa!!!

LONDON SUPER HAUL!!!

Ciao Girls!!! Come state?! Io sto benissimo, la vacanza a Londra è stata strepitosa!!! Ho visitato un sacco di posti da brava turista e fatto un sacco di shopping da vera shopaholic!!! Tra i miei acquisti ci sono stati molti vestiti ed accessori di marche che quì in Italia non si trovano come Jane Norman, Dorothy Perkins, Juicy Couture, ecc ecc... ma ovviamente una grossa somma di sterline è stata destinata all'acquisto di cosmetici!!!

Vi faccio vedere quello che ho comprato andando per marca:

Da Laura Mercier ho preso:

-la famigerata Tinted Moisturizer nel colore Nude;

-la Perfecting Hydrating Water (è un' "acqua" che sovra-idrata la pelle permettendo alla crema idratante che si mette in seguito di penetrare negli strati più profondi dell'epidermide).

Dalla Urban Decay ho comprato:

-la Eyeshadow Primer Potion....ehhh sì credo di essere l'unica che non ce l'avesse ancora!

-le matite per occhi della linea 24/7 nei colori (partendo da sinistra): Lucky, Backed, Oil Slick, Zero, Ransom.

Dalla Benefit ho preso:

-due blush nei colori (da sinistra): Coralista e Hoola;

-tre Creamless Eyeshadow nei colori (da sinistra): Stiletto, Strut e RSVP.

Dalla Nars ho preso (partendo dall'alto):

-due blush nei colori (da sinistra): Madly e la famigerata Orgasm;

-la Multiple nel colore Copacabana;

-due ombretti nei colori (da sinistra): Odine e Ashes To Ashes;

-un lipsloss nel colore Turkish Delight.

Dalla MAC ho preso (partendo dall'alto):

-pennello 217 e pennello 227;

-crema idratante Strobe

-fondotinta Studio Fix Plus nel colore NW30....evviva finalmente so il mio colore MAC!!!!

-palette x 15 e 7 ombretti nei colori (da sinistra in alto andando in giù): Naked Lunch, Expensive Pink (come posso non averlo???!!!), Sushi Flower, Stars&Rockets, Humid, Fresh Water, Print;

-un Lipglass nel colore Florabundance;

-un Cremesheen nel colore Double Dare;

-tre Paintpot nei colori: Coral Crepe, Indianwood e Blackground;

Ed infine alla Dutyfree dell'aeroporto di Stansted ho preso:

-il profumo NYC di Sarah Jessica Parker;

-il set Advance Night Repair della Estee Lauder.

Che dite, ho scelto bene???!!! Sono davvero contenta dei miei acquisti e non vedo l'ora di iniziare ad usarli e metterli alla prova. Se volete delle review di qualche prodotto specifico o info in generale fatemi sapere!!!
