NYC SUPER HAUL: VICTORIA'S SECRET

I think a shopping spree in NYC isn’t complete if you don’t go at least once to Victoria’s Secret. We went twice ;-) Everything in there was just so CUTE! So girly, so sweet, so pink! The first thing me and my sister did was to ask a sales girl to measure us since we had no clue of what our sizes were in the States. After that we-went-crazy….like children in Disneyland!!!

Lingerie wise I bought a bra and a bunch of panties. I picked the 'very berry/shell with metallic lace' bra+panties from the Dream Angels collection, and since there was a 5 panties for $25,50 promotion going on I picked 5 from the Pink collection. 

I also got a pair of these cute cosy pink track pants. I could already see myself wearing them during my lazy winter days:

Beauty wise…I would have bought everything!!! I knew I wanted a couple of body splashes, but choosing among all those fragrances was a though task----in the end I choose randomly! The only item I was sure about was the eyeshadow in Private Beach that Lisa raves about.

Noi siamo andate in due negozi VS e siamo rimaste incantate, come i bambini a Disneyland…hihihihi!!! Come prima cosa abbiamo chiesto ad una commessa di ‘misurarci’ perché non avevamo nessuna idea di quale fosse la nostra taglia in America. Dopo di che…alè!!! C’erano così tante cose carine, dall’intimo all’abbigliamento, dalle fragranze ai cosmetici. Ehhhh….menomale che il sito di VS fa spedizioni internazionali perché voglio ancora altre cose!!!!!!!!!

NYC SUPER HAUL: WALGREENS

When I said I wanted to go shopping in a pharmacy in NYC, my mother turned anxiously at me saying: 'are you not feeling well?'!!!!!! And I said 'no mà, pharmacies in NY are a whole different story than the ones at home, you can actually shop in there'!!!!!!!!!! I was so surprised to see a Walgreens in the middle of Times Square and I loooove the variety of stuff they have. If you want to buy facial care stuff, like cleansers, moisturizers, srubs...THIS IS THE PLACE!!! Here's what I picked:

Quando ho detto a mia madre che volevo andare in farmacia a fare shopping lei si rigira nervosamente a me e mi dice: 'perchè, ti senti male?'!!! Ed io 'no mà, le farmacie a NY sono completamente diverse dalle nostre, si può fare shopping'!!! Per la mia gioia c'era un Walgreens proprio in Times Square e mi sono precipitata a comprare un pò di prodotti per la cura del viso.... scegliere è stata un'impresa ardua!!!!

NYC SUPER HAUL: SAKS

Going to Saks so was exciting!!!

I 've heard of this 'shopping temple' for years on tv, in movies, in magazines and while I was going through the gates of paradise ...I just couldn't stop smiling!!! I think the security guy must have thought I was a fool or something!!!

Anyway,... I could have spent AN ENTIRE DAY just on the first floor alone: all those makeup brands, handsbags, accessorizes,...undescribable. While I was passing by all those counters I felt like Alice In Wonderland!

This first counter I stopped at was Chanel.....wow that was THE counter! I think it had every single product Chanel has in it's cosmetics line. Infact I had to ask help from the makeup artist cos I was feeling pretty lost!!! I immediately asked for the infamous Bronze Universel and thanks god she had it!!!!!! It was one of the makeup items I wanted to get most in my NYC trip.

I'm so happy I got this product--- geez everyone on youtube has it and sware by it so I was so curious to give it a try.

While I was waiting for the lady to get the Bronze Universel for me (those long moments that seems never ending hours!!!) my attention was caught by the new collection items and I was drawn towards the Peridot nail varnish, absolutely to die for!!!

After Chanel I continued my adventure in Wonderland and stopped at the Clarisonic counter--- did you know there's a Clarisonic counter in Saks???!!! I DID NOT!!!! In fact I had in mind to get the Clarisonic at Sephora but since it was already there I just went for it.

When I got home, the first box I opened was the Clarisonic cos I was so eager to charge it and use it. A full review will be coming soon ;)

After the beauty department we went upstairs to check out the clothes, but I didn't get anything cos evreything was veeery very expensive.

Ciao bellissime!!!! Questi sono i prodotti che ho comprato a Saks, il famigerato negozio sulla 5th avenue. Entrare lì dentro è stato davvero emozionante, quante volte l'abbiamo sentito nominare in tv, nei film, sulle riviste,..ed è tutto vero!!! Il pian terreno è un tempio della cosmetica, tutte le marche del mondo sono lì, ma anche delle borse come LV e Gucci......ahhhh per fortuna che non abito a NY!!!!!

Bè come avete visto dalle foto (finalmente ho trovato un modo per avere immagini belle grandi!) ho comprato il super famoso Bronze Universel, lo smalto ad edizione limitata Peridot e la Clarisonic. Non sapete quanto ho cercato di acquistare la Clarisonic online dall'Italia, ma sembra impossibile averla fuori dall'America. Appena rientrata a casa l'ho messa subito a caricare perchè avevo tanta voglia di usarla!!!!!! Presto la review ;)

NYC SUPER HAUL: SEPHORA

Hey dolls!!! When I uploaded this pic on my FB I named it PARADISE, and trust me it was. This one in the photo is the Sephora on 5th Avenue and when you pass by you cannot NOT stop a second and look at it. And if you're a makeup junkie like moi, after looking and snapping a pic, you go inside and shop!!! I splurged in this Sephora and the 2 ones in Times Square and...geez it was intense!!! The $$$ rose by the second and I think that's why the sales staff insisted I signed up for their Beauty Insider card. Actually good thing I did cos I ended up getting a ton of free stuff: MUFE eye pencils, Sephora's mascaras, DKNY Pure perfume... happy!!!

Ciao bambole!!! Quando ho caricato questa foto sulla mia pagina FB l'ho intitolata PARADISO, e fidatevi lo era. Questa nella foto è la Sephora lungo la 5th Avenue e la facciata è così carattiristica che non ti puoi non fermare a guardarla. Poi, ovvio, se siete una makeup addict come me, dopo averla osservata, entrate e fate shooping!!! Ho fatto shopping in questa Sephora e nelle 2 a Times Square ed ho fatto enormi danni!!! I $$$ sono saliti vertiginosamente e forse è per questo che lo staff ha tanto insistito che io mi facessi la loro Beauty Insider Card (la nostra Carta Fedeltà Sephora lì non può essere usata). A posteriori è stato un bene che l'ho fatta perchè ho ricevuto un sacco di cosette gratis: matite MUFE, mascara Sephora, il profumo Pure di DKNY,....mica male!!!

The first counter I had to check out immediately was Urban Decay: I DESPERATELY wanted the Naked palette and... ta ta taaaa... I found it!!!! It was the last one (waiting for me!!!) and when I saw it I grabed it like it was gold....like a crazy woman!!! I also got the primer potions in Sin and Greed and I hope the tube form works better than the bottle...

La prima marca cui mi sono diretta è stata Urban Decay: ero alla DISPERATA ricerca della Naked palette e per fortuna l'ho trovata!!!! Era l'ultima (era lì sola sola che mi aspettava!) e appena l'ho vista l'ho presa come una pazza! Ho anche comprato i primer potion in Sin e Greed e spero vivamente che il formato in tubetto si riveli migliore della bottiglia...

Illamasqua... oh Illamasqua Illamasqua. This counter was a dissapointment. I have only one blush by this brand (Excite) and it is by far one of my favorites. So I decided to try out the cream blushes and got Libido..... scary I now!!! But LittleKiva swares by it so I took it. Then, being the foundation-obsessed that I am I picked their Rich Liquid Foundation, which is suppose to give flawless coverage. The rest was total caos. Caos because I feel that the Illamasqua counters haven't been sorted out in a looooooooong time!!! The boxes were all half broken or thorn, and there was no matching between the testers in front and the actual products behind!!!! So irritating. And unfortunately I got a taste of it when choosing the lipglosses:

Mi rincresce dirlo, ma lo stand Illamasqua mi ha deluso tantissimo. Mi è dispiaciuto perchè l'Illamasqua era una delle marche di cui ero più entusiasta, credevo che avrei comprato molto di più ma....non ci sono riuscita!!! Quando mi sono recata allo stand mi sono trovata davanti al caos totale: le scatoline erano aperte o consumate, e non c'era corrispondenza tra i tester ed i prodotti...un nervoso!!! Ho comprato il blush in crema nel colore Libido ed il fondotinta Rich Liquid Foundation, e fin quì tutto regolare. Ma pultroppo per i gloss mi sono ritrovata con tutt'altro di quello che volevo!!!

I would NEVER buy a clear lipgloss and a baby pink lipgloss. Never. But this is what I found when I got home and opened the packages. If I lived in the States I would obviously return them, but now I'm stuck with two 'useless' products. See what I mean when I said CAOS?!!!

Io non comprerei MAI un gloss trasparente ed uno baby rosa. Mai. Eppure questi sono i colori con cui mi sono ritrovata una volta rientrata a casa. Pultroppo non li posso restituire e mi urta pensare d'aver sprecato soldi. Vabbè, mi inventerò qualcosa!!!

NYC SUPER HAUL: MAC COSMETICS

Hey dolls!!! So when the time came for me to decide which brand to start with in my nyc super haul it wasn't a tough decision: MAC! Firstly let me just tell you that right in front of my hotel was a Mac Store. Coincidence??!! Maybe :P Anyway I am proud of myself cos I didn't go crazy in that store of temptation! I went in, told the makeup artist what I wanted and headed straight for the door. Twice ;)

Ciao bellezze!!! Allora quando pensavo alla marca di cosmetici con cui iniziare il mio nyc super haul devo ammettere che non è stata una decisione difficile: MAC ovvio!!!! Fatemi prima dire che davanti al mio hotel c'era un MAC Store. Casualità?!! Forse :P Comunque sono fiera di me stessa perchè sono stata brava, non mi sono impazzita in quel luogo di tentazioni! Sono entrata, ho detto quello che volevo acquistare al commesso e sono uscita. Due volte ;)

The first item I asked for was the Face & Body Foundation,...I just love that bottle!!! I've been using my Chanel Vitalumière Aqua foundation through out the summer and absolutely adore that light texture. Since the Face & Body Foundation is water based too I thought of trying it out and I really hope it'll work well with my skin. Will keep you posted ;)

Il primo prodotto che ho chiesto è stato il Face & Body Foundation.....non è adorabile in quella bottiglia??!!! Lo sapete che stravedo per il fondotinta Chanel Vitalumière Aqua ed essendo anche il Face & Body Foundation a base principalmente d'acqua ho pensato di provarlo e spero di trovarmici bene. Vi farò sapere ;)

Loose Powder in Silver Dusk---- Kandee Johnson ALWAYS puts this on her cheeks and OMG have you seen her cheeks???!!! To die for. I'd be glad if I manage to achieve cheeks even slightly like hers!!!

Sheer pressed powder--- setting my foundation with powder has become part of my makeup routine only recently. I feel my skin gets more shiny in the summer so I need some sort of powder to avoid looking like a disco ball!!! I've been using my MAC Skin Finish Natural but I feel I need something more matte....

Makeup Wipe Removers & Brush Cleanser--- I know, boring boring, boring! And definitely didn't help the luggage weight!!! I tried the mac wipes in Selfridges (London) last year while the mac makeup artist was matching my skin for foundation and I remember loving it A LOT! I actually wanted to get the 100 pack but they didn't have it so I had to settle with this travel size pack :( And the brush cleanser? Well when it comes to washing my brushes I am soooo lazy, so I hope this product makes the whole washing process quicker and easier!!!!

Salviettine Struccanti & Brush Cleanser--- Lo so, che fantasia!!!! E non sono andata certo ad aiutare la situazione 'peso valigia'!!! Ho provato le salviettine struccanti l'anno scorso a Selfridges (Londra) quando la makeup artist MAC mi stava testando per il fondotinta e ricordo d'esserne rimasta positivamente impressa. In realtà volevo prendere il formato da 100 ma non c'era quindi mi sono dovuta accontentare del pacco da viaggi :( Ed il brush cleanser? Bè vi confesso che quando si tratta di lavare i miei pennelli sono super pigra, e spero che questo prodotto aiuti ad acellerare il processo!!!

I'M BAAAACK!!!!!!

Hi girls!!!!! I'm back from my trip to NYC....oh boy was it great!!!!!! Such an amazing experience, so much to absorbe especially if you're from a small town like me :) The shopping was FANTASTIC, omg I spent a ton of money! NYC is definitely 'the paradise' for shopping, there is everything you want and more.

Ciao ragazze!!!!!!! Sono ritornata dal mio viaggio a NYC ed è stato a dir poco meraviglioso!!! E' stata un'esperienza indescrivibile, così tanto da assorbire se come me vivete in una piccola città :) Inutile precisare che lo shopping è FANTASTICO, non vi dico quanto ho speso! New York è decisamente il paradiso dello shopping, c'è TUTTO quello che si può volere e di più.

I've been writing my shopping list for months and I must say that a good 70% of the stuff on my wishlist was makeup. And I am happy to admit that I managed to find EVERYTHING I wanted. I also bought a number of DVDs and books,...but no worries: everything will be shown!

Inizio col mostrarvi il mio acquisto più importante (e costoso)! Voilà:

My new toy is a Canon Rebel T2i (EOS 550). I must admit, the idea of getting a new camera only hit me few days before leaving for NYC. I've always been curious about DSLRs but never got around actually considering getting one. I thought they were very expensive and that you'd need a degree to know how to use one!!! Well, while doing my research I descovered that many brands produce DSLRs for beginners, called 'entry-level'. Basically these cameras are targeted to people who are familiar with compact cameras and that are upgrading to a DSLR for the first time. Also, the price range of these entry-level DSLRs is pretty affordable. I paid my T2i approx. €525 ($749), but for instance the Rebel T3 is about €425 ($600). So for under €500 you can get a great camera. Why did I opt for a Canon? I've no idea! Pure chance! Definitely Stef and Laura made me go in their direction...hihihi!!!! Anyway I am SUPER HAPPY about my purchase, it is an amazing camera, so many features (that I have still to learn!) and omg you'll see with your own eyes the quality of the photos....so professional!!!

Le camere che rientrano in questa fascia sono rivolte alle persone che hanno già una certa familiarità con le compatte e che decidono di acquistare una DSLR per la prima volta. I prezzi di queste camere sono piuttosto buone, io ho pagato la mia T2i circa €525 ($749) ma ad esempio la Rebel T3 costa €425 ($600), quindi per €500 e sotto si può avere una bomba di camera!!!
