MUFE HD FOUNDATION

Ok so….being a very proud owner of the Sephora Gold Card you all already know that I had a chance of choosing a birthday present of the amount of €30….very very happy!!! About a month ago I went to Sephora to get my present and after long thought I decided to get Make Up For Ever’s HD Foundation. I’ve never been a great fan of MUFE, not because I don’t like their products (I actually don’t own much of this brand!),…it’s just that I’ve never been intrigued by it. One day I decided to take an interest so…what better than a foundation to start off???!!!! I picked the colour 150 (actually the sales girl picked it for me!) and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I first swatched the MUFE HD foundation the first thing that came to my mind was how ‘liquidy’ it felt. Then I started using it every day, and the more I wore it the more I thought it resembled another one of my favourite foundations, Chanel’s Vitalimière Aqua! Yes I know it may sound strange but MUFE’s HD foundation is very similar in texture to Chanel’s Vitalimière Aqua, it’s smooth, light, watery, and when you apply it on your face you feeling like you’ve got nothing on. The coverage is medium (buildable) and it seems to be working well with my oily skin. I am very very very happy with this product and will definitely try other items by MUFE. ps- when I went to the counter to pay the MUFE HD foundation I told the sales girls I wanted to use by birthday coupon and would pay the extra €8 in cash (the foundation was €38), but she said it was not possible cos in order to use the bday coupon I had to pick a product under €30, ….ABSURED considering almost everything in Sephora is over €30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least the good stuff is. So that really got to my nerve, but there was no point in getting angry with the sales girls since it was not her fault Sephora had such a ridiculous policy. In the end I decided to use my bday coupon to get the YSL Faux Cils mascara (€22) in brown that I had ran out of, and also (paid for) the MUFE HD foundation since I had my heart set on it already!!! Allora….come ormai sapete tutte sono una fiera posseditrice della Sephora Gold Card. In quanto tale, un mesetto fa avevo la possibilità di prendere un qualsiasi prodotto a scelta del valore di €30 ed ovviamente non mi sono lasciata attendere!!!!!!!! Dopo lungo pensamento avevo deciso di scegliere il Make Up For Ever HD Foundation. Non ho molti trucchi MUFE, anzi se ci leviamo il pennello per fondotinta ed un pigmento si può dire che non possiedo nulla della MUFE! Non che non mi piacciono i prodotti, è solo che non mi sono mai interessata a questa marca. Sicchè ho pensato: quale miglior prodotto del fondotinta per iniziare???!!! Ho scelto il colore 150 (in realtà è stata la commessa a sceglierlo per me, è molto brava e riesce sempre ad individuare il colore giusto per me al primo colpo!). Quando ho fatto lo swatch del fondotinta sul dorso della mano la prima cosa che ho pensato è stato: quant’è liquido. Ho usato il fondotinta MUFE HD quasi tutti i giorni da allora e LO ADORO!!!! Col passare dei giorni mi accorgevo che il mio entusiasmo per questo prodotto era dovuto anche al fatto che assomigliava sempre più ad un altro fondotinta per cui impazzisco, e cioè il Vitalimière Aqua di Chanel. Lo so che potrebbe sorprendere ma questi due prodotti hanno una consistenza davvero simile: sono entrambi acquosi, leggeri, dopo l’applicazione sembra di non avere nulla sul viso. La coprenza è media e sembra funzionare piuttosto bene con la mia pelle grassa. Sono stra felice di questo fondotinta e sicuramente proverò altri prodotti MUFE. ps-quando mi sono recata alla cassa per pagare il Make Up For Ever HD Foundation ho detto alla commessa che volevo usufruire del buono di €30 per il compleanno e che avrei aggiunto la differenza in contanti (il fondotinta viene €38), ma la commessa mi ha detto che non si poteva fare in quanto per usufruire del buono dovevo scegliere un prodotto di valore inferiore a €30,….ASSURDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Non vi dico il nervoso. All’inizio mi sono messa a discutere con la commessa perché non lo trovavo giusto, ma poi ho sorvolato in quanto alla fin fine non era certo colpa della commessa se la Sephora adotta politiche ridicole (a mio parare). E quindi ho usato il buono per prendere il mascara YSL Faux Cils (€22) di colore marrone ed in più ho comprato il fondotinta MUFE perché ormai lo volevo, buono o non buono!!! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

BOOK REVIEW: CITY OF BONES by Cassandra Clare

Reading City Of Bones took me more than I had expected. Not because I didn’t like it,…it’s just that I’ve been busy with work and other stuff. I rated this book 3/5 because I inevitably compared it to the (only) other book I read by Cassandra Clare, Clockwork Angel, which I loved. If I had to describe City Of Bones in one word I’d say it’s promising: like all first books of a series we get to know the characters, we discover the world in which the story takes place,…not a lot of action in the beginning (I thought some parts were slow and boring) but towards the end the adrenaline definitely kicks in. I’m looking forward to reading City Of Ashes because I’m curious to find out how the plot evolves! I want get to know the characters better, I’m totally fascinated by ‘the bad guy’ and am curious to see what he comes out with, …hmmm I can already tell that The Mortal Instruments series is gonna be GOOD!!!! - Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Thanks Ele for tagging me! Grazie Ele per il tag! 1. How would you describe your style? I like using a phrase Karl Lagerfeld once said: casual sophistication! I like being comfortable and casual but I always make it a point to add a touch of style, a touch of sophistication! For example, I like mixing expensive clothes with non expensive clothes, take today: I’m wearing a t-shirt top by Italian fashion designer Patrizia Pepe, a plain white trouser by H&M and silver Hogan sneakers. So it’s definitely casual but stylish altogether. 2. What are your wardrobe staples? If you read my blog you should know the answer to that: JEANS! I have a sick obsession for jeans, when you open my wardrobe they are the first things you see. Then I would add leggings/jeggings and a ton of colorful summer tops/t-shirts. 3. Most expensive item in your closet? Balenciaga Work bag 4. Most wanted item? Well the answer to that changes everyday! At the moment I am obsessed with the Coach sequin spotlight poppy bag. I really really want the pink one but unfortunately that color was limited edition so I doubt I’ll be able to get it. When I go NYC this summer I’ll check out the new colors and if I like them I might get one! 5. Favorite designer? Versace… when I watch a Versace fashion show on tv all the clothes are TO DIE FOR!!! 6. How much do you spend on clothes? Lets say an average of €200 a month. 7. What are your favorite places to shop? Miss Sixty (for jeans), H&M, …and many more! 8. Favorite fragrance? NYC by Sarah Jessica Parker. Everytime I use it I receive compliments! 9. What's your favorite way to do your hair? I love my hair the day after I straighten it cos it’s straight but slightly wavy at the ends. 10. What is your go-to outfit when you have no idea what to wear? Jeans---duh! I feel you can never go wrong with a pair of jeans and a shirt or polo. 11. One fashion trend you wish would come back or stay? I honestly like the fashion trends of the past 2-3 years: I like how almost all the brands have leggings looks in their collections, I like all the long and oversize tops… I feel they suit every girl. 12. Il mio è sicuramente un genere casual, comodo, ma faccio sempre in modo di aggiungere un dettaglio chic, un dettaglio sofisticato. Mi piace abbinare vestiti firmati con vestiti ‘semplici’, come oggi: indosso un top Patrizia Pepe (vi ricordate la maglietta realizzata per i mondiali 2010?), un pantalone bianco H&M e le scarpe Hogan. Purtroppo trattandosi di edizioni limitate il rosa non c’è più. Quando andrò a NYC darò un’occhiata agli altri colori e se mi piace una…la comprerò! 5. Chi è il tuo stilista preferito? Versace. Nelle sfilate Versace non c’è un abito che non sia STREPITOSO! 6. Quanto spendi per l'abbigliamento? In media diciamo €200 al mese. 7. Quali sono i tuoi negozi preferiti di abbigliamento?
